Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
